    A resolution of the City of Titusville, Florida, supporting an initiative to recognize businesses that formally commit to voluntary reductions in the use of single-use plastics and expanded polystyrene (EPS) products
  • Resolution Number 33-2019
    A resolution of the City of Titusville, Florida, supporting an initiative to recognize local residents and lawn care professionals who formally commit to minimizing nutrient pollution and stormwater runoff through certain lawn care designs and practices
  • Resolution Number 34-2019
    A resolution of the City of Titusville, Florida, supporting the practice of composting and in support of working with Brevard County and the municipalities within Brevard County to implement a composting program countywide

Sustainability Projects

  • Transitioned from printed timesheets to Executime electronic timekeeping software eliminating the 12,896 printed timesheets annually
  • Designed low-energy biological processes at the Water Reclamation Facilities that reduce blower aeration needs by extracting oxygen from the wastewater. This design lowers the electric consumption by $6,800 per year
  • Purchased four bicycles for police bike patrol diverting fuel needs and carbon emissions associated with additional motored patrol vehicles
  • Replaced six light-duty diesel fuel vehicles with vehicles meeting less polluting tier 2 and tier 3 emission standards
  • Transitioned to electronic site plan submittals from paper submittals saving an average for 480 copies on 24 by 36-inch size sheets per site plan
