Emergency Measures Adopted in Response to COVID-19

At the April 28, 2020, Titusville City Council meeting, staff recommended, and Council approved, a number of temporary/emergency measures in the hopes of helping small businesses to rebound from the COVID-19 pandemic. Effective immediately, the following temporary measures will be in place for the next 90 days:

  • Deferral of fire inspection fees.
  • Waiver of review fees for existing small businesses for repairs or improvements costing less than $25,000.
  • Approval of outdoor seating for restaurants within grassy, landscaped areas or parking areas, as approved by the City.
Note: Outdoor seating will be limited to the grassy areas of the property and/or parking lot. Approval will not be granted for the removal of trees or other landscaping elements that are already required. If you would like to add outdoor seating to your place of business, please contact us so that we can assist with any on-site issues.

We hope that you are able to benefit from one or more of these initiatives. To learn more, please contact Lisa Nicholas, Economic Development Director, at 321-567-3774.
